NAMM Foundation is pleased to have developed relationships and partners to help us extend our message. Partnerships with major companies and organizations such as Tournament of Roses, Americans for the Arts, Sesame Workshop and the Maxell/John Lennon Songwriting Contest for Teens created millions of media impressions, reaching people across America.

Through these types of affiliations, NAMM is able to generate billions of media impressions about music making. This widespread interest will, in turn, help the association leverage additional important partnerships that can further our mission and keep music in the headlines, thereby multiplying our chances of reaching and broadening our market.

The Music Achievement Council is an organization of music leaders dedicated to developing and retaining instrumental music students and teachers. It was formed in 1983 for the express purpose of supporting instrumental music programs in our schools. The council produces educational materials for use by band and orchestra directors to help improve the recruiting and retention of instrumental music students.

Founded in 1998 under NAMM's organizational umbrella and with its sponsorship, the Museum of Making Music explores the multifaceted history of the American music products industry from its beginnings in the 1890s to today. Housed at NAMM Headquarters in Carlsbad, California (north San Diego county), the Museum tells stories of hard work, challenge, inspiration and pioneering innovation, and reveals the profound relationship between the industry, popular music, and global culture.
