Nonprofit organizations are invited to attend The 2018 NAMM Show by applying to become part of The NAMM Foundation's Nonprofit Network as well as participate in the first annual Nonprofit Management Institute. Organizations that advance active participation in music making (and create music makers) are encouraged to apply to attend, and RSVP to the Institute.
The Institute will occur on Thursday, Jan. 25- Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, and be moderated by David Dik, national executive director of Young Audiences. The sessions support professional development with topics such as: Fundraising and Development, Governance, Program Development, Documentation and Assessment, and Social Media Best Practices. Participants who attend all five nonprofit sessions and submit an online reflective essay will receive a certificate of completion from The NAMM Foundation.
Speakers include: Mark Slavkin, director of education, Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts; Jane Best, director, Arts Education Partnership; Joe Landon, executive director, California Alliance for Arts Education; Steve Venz, visual and performing arts coordinator, Orange County Department of Education; Michelle Moog-Koussa, executive director, Bob Moog Foundation; Chiho Feindler, senior director of programs and policy, VH1 Save The Music Foundation; and more.
RSVP'ing to the Institute is optional but highly encouraged.
