  • Grantee Spotlight: The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus

    The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus is a state-of-the-art mobile audio and video recording and production facility, committed to providing students with increased access to music, audio, video and broadcast technology. The Lennon Bus works with national partners, including The NAMM Foundation, to bring these events to elementary, middle and high schools around the country regardless of their levels of expertise.
  • Grantee Spotlight: SongwritingWith:Soldiers

    One of this year’s NAMM Foundation grantees is SongwritingWith:Soldiers, an organization that uses songwriting as a catalyst for personal reflection and change. Their unique model pairs professional songwriters with veterans in retreat and workshop settings, offering participants a way to tell their stories, rebuild trust, release pain and forge relationships.
  • Gard Scholarship Award Recipient, Jon Blanchette, Reflects on Working for a NAMM Retailer

    Jon Blanchette, a 2015 Gard Scholarship Award Recipient, gained experience in the music products industry working with NAMM member Rick’s Musical Instruments in Cumberland, RI. Blanchette experienced working in the industry firsthand while learning to repair brass instruments.

    One of this year’s NAMM Foundation grantees is EngAGE, Inc., a nonprofit organization that creates community and changes lives by transforming affordable apartment communities into vibrant centers of teaching and learning, artistic exploration, creativity and engagement for over 5,000 people living in affordable communities in Southern California, Oregon and Minnesota.

  • Gard Scholarship Award Recipient, Kelly Riordan, Reflects on Working for A NAMM Retailer

    As a Gard Scholarship Award Recipient in 2016, Kelly Riordan gained experience in the music products industry, working with NAMM Member Hartland Music. While there, she was able to learn about and connect with the industry firsthand, selling music products and running a large conservatory.
