The NAMM Foundation's SupportMusic Advocacy program empowers people in communities everywhere to be advocates for music and music education. Below are a few resources we provide that are particularly helpful for advocates.

Ted Brown Music is one of the Northwest’s premier music stores. Established in 1931, Ted Brown Music has grown to six locations in the state of Washington (Tacoma, Seattle, Silverdale, Puyallup, Yakima and Richland), as well as a worldwide online presence.
Ted Brown Music provides; Musical instruments, accessories, sheet music and pro audio sales , band and orchestra rentals, expert isntrument repairs, in-house private lessons, Statewide Educational Services representatives to serve school districts around the state and their 501 c3 non profit has donated over 450 instruments to kids who can't affort do play music
In 2014, Ted Brown was awarded NAMM's SupportMusic Advocacy Award at the Top 100 Dealer Award ceremony held in Nashville, TN.

- Ask questions and listen. What is needed in your community?
- Be sincere in what you do to serve the community. It can't be just another advertising gimmick.
- Have programs in your stores to fill the gaps of what is being missed in the schools.
