Crown Point Jr. Music Academy Celebrate Music Education

On February 1, 2016, students from Crown Point Jr. Music Academy in San Diego wrote, recorded, and produced an original song and music video onboard the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus mobile recording studio. And on February 2nd, The NAMM Foundation presented a SupportMusic Community Forum featuring performances by Crown Point Jr. Music Academy, Pacific Beach Middle, and Mission Bay High School. This special event brought together school, community and business leaders to share strategies to advance music education as part of the curriculum. Special guests included San Diego Unified Superintendent Cindy Marten, Principal Muriel Bartoloni, Visual and Performing Arts Director Russell Sperling, as well as several music teachers, students, and administrators.
