The Retail Print Music Dealers Association (RPMDA) has announced that its Foundation will donate its Ed Adams Scholarship Fund to The NAMM Foundation as part of its closure. This $40,000 donation will continue supporting the creation of new music makers for years to come.
Until its dissolution last year, RPMDA was the voice of the print music industry for over 40 years.
“Among the oldest segments of the modern music products industry, print music has periodically endured disruption at the hands of technology. Combined with post-pandemic fiscal constraints and member consolidation, it became evident that an annual gathering would no longer be feasible,” said Mike Watson, former RPMDA VP of Conventions. “By donating our Ed Adams Scholarship Fund to The NAMM Foundation, RPMDA’s legacy of advocating for music education will be able to continue. I’d like to thank our board of directors, along with Madeleine Crouch & Co., Inc., for shepherding the association through this transition.”
The award recognizes the career of Ed Adams, an independent sales representative, and his dedicated service to the print music industry.
