Richard R. Green Central Park School Adds a Piano To Their Music Program

In This Article:

Richard R. Green Central Park School in Minneapolis, a VH1 Save The Music Foundation's Keys+Kids grant recipient, added a piano to their music program, thanks to a sponsorship from The NAMM Foundation. The school celebrated the donation on October 6 during an assembly with live music and a check presentation.

Musician Zac Barnett, from American Authors, was there to meet and greet students and perform their radio hit, “Best Day of My Life." Also present was NAMM Member Doug Schmitt, of Schmitt Music, who represented The NAMM Foundation during the presentation.

VH1 Save The Music Foundation’s Keys + Kids is a response to the growing need for high-quality, functional pianos in public schools.
